HISENSE HVAC stormed to victory in Circuit 3 of the Brunei 3x3 Tournament after dispatching Team DARK 21-7 in the final on Sunday.

On the other side, Kenneth Chin was the topscorer for Team DARK with three points.

It was evenly matched early on but things took a turn when Foo Wei Chun picked up an injury leaving Team DARK without any subs.

The match was tied at 5-5 with just over six minutes to play at the Kg Baru Basketball Court in Seria.

Hisense then scored five unanswered points the next minute before Chin converted to stop the rot.

Chai got it done from the outside while Chiew was unstoppable driving to the hoop.

Team DARK were gassed and simply had no way back as a two-pointer from Chai with six seconds left closed the match.

It was a much closer affair in the third-place playoff as Sandro edged Petroteq 16-15 to claim the bronze.

Only four teams contested in the category with Wira Pori, the winner of the last two circuits, withdrawing.

Bluemambas bagged the under-18 category after defeating Evo 13-11 in the final.

Nicholas Yip led the way for Bluemambas with six points while Zac Song added four in the win.

On the other hand, Andrin Ting had the game-high of seven for Evo in a losing effort.

Both sides emphasised on defence in the title decider and it was neck and neck much of the way.

It was a five-point run that saw Bluemambas open up a 13-7 advantage with over two minutes to play.

Evo scored the next two baskets and called a timeout with a minute left.

Bluemambas went cold from the field but time was not on the side of Evo.

They got two more buckets but it was not enough as Bluemambas wound the clock to hang on for victory.

Meanwhile, Undergraduates took home the bronze after beating CHMS 16-12 in the third-place match.

The competition will culminate with the last circuit at the BBA Court in Batu Bersurat on November 3.
