CARA MUDAH were crowned champions of the GHK Tutong Cup after defeating GKL 83-67 in the final on Sunday.
Lim Liang Wei dropped a game-high of 27 points to lead Cara Mudah.
Ben Sim poured in 11 while Jayden Chen notched 10 in the victory.
On the other side, Kelvin Chai topscored for GKL with 18 points.
The duo of Jonathan Lim and Edwin Oei each scored 12 to a losing cause.
GKL got off to strong start to score seven unanswered points but Cara Mudah regrouped to reply with a 9-0 run of their own at the Tutong Chung Hwa Basketball Court.
GKL attacked in transition and Chai knocked down three freethrows to put them up 18-15 going into the second frame.
Cara Mudah upped their defence and went back in front.
GKL Struggled to get anything to fall and only got their first field goal of the period courtesy of Oei over three minutes in to tie the scores at 22-22.
It was a see-saw battle from then on and Cara Mudah stuck their noses in front 40-37 at halftime.
Cara Mudah took control of the match after the interval and got their advantage up to as many as 13 points.
They worked the ball around and got their outside shots to fall.
Daniel Sim scored on an offensive putback for GKL to cut the deficit to 62-51 heading into the final quarter.
Cara Mudah built up their advantage and it ballooned to as large as 20 points.
GKL went with full court pressure defence and managed to trim the lead to single figures.
Chen knocked down a trey to calm the nerves and close out the match.
