AMARON hung on to defeat Propel Services & Trading 83-76 to win the bronze of the YOU.C1000 Cup on Saturday.
Both sides didn't have a full roster for the third-place playoff.
Amaron only had eight available while Propel had seven at the BBA Court in Batu Bersurat.
Darren Yap finished with a team-high of 27 points to pace Amaron.
Kevin Tay contributed 20 and Soon Kian Leong added 10.
On the other hand, Paul Biala notched a game-high of 34 points for Propel.
Tan Ye Wei and Wee Koon Seng chipped in 12 and 11 respectively in the loss.
Propel edged ahead 38-37 at halftime after Wee split his freethrows.
Amaron turned the game on its head at the restart as they scored eight unanswered points.
Propel struggled to get anything going on offence and were outscored 29-13 in the frame.
Soon found Tay for a baseline jumper to put Amaron in control at 66-51 heading into the final quarter.
They built their advantage to as large as 19 points.
Biala took matters into his own hands to will his side for a comeback.
