PROPEL Services & Trading notched their second win in Group C of the YOU.C1000 Cup after dispatching Tech G Enterprise 93-73 on Friday.
Propel had distributed scoring with four players hitting double figures at the BBA Court in Batu Bersurat.
The duo of Alvin Goh and Paul Biala dropped 18 points each.
Ting Heng Lee knocked down five treys for 15 points while Tan Ye Wei added 10.
Zhang Yu and Wee Koon Seng had good contributions with nine apiece in the triumph.
On the other side, Nicole Ponan produced a game-high of 23 points for Tech G.
Rjay Dulay poured in 19 and Christopher Larceno chipped in 10 to a losing cause.
Tech G were short-handed with only five players available to start the match.
Regardless, they scored the first six points of opening frame.
Propel then went on a 9-0 run powered by Ting's two shots from behind the arc.
Ponan carried his side with 10 points in the stanza as Tech G stuck their noses in front 17-16 at the end of the first period.
Propel began the second period with nine unanswered points before Larceno scored a freethrow three minutes in.
They built on their advantage to double digits and got everything right for 32 points in the quarter.
In contrast, Tech G struggled offensively. They had second chance points by working on the boards but faced a 48-31 deficit at halftime.
They had more personnel as the game progressed but Propel's lead ballooned to as large as 23 points after the break.
Tech G went with full court man to man defence to try and mount a comeback.
They only got to as close as 16 points in the fourth period but never really troubled their opponents.
Meanwhile, the earlier game saw Linktech crush Minimau 81-24 in women's Group B.
The tournament resumes on Saturday with reigning champions D'Barkadz taking on Team OBS in men's Group A at 7pm.
The second game will see Amaron do battle with Wan Sing in Group D at 8.30pm.
