PROPEL Services and Trading got their campaign off to a winning start after taking down Linktech 86-69 in Group C of the YOU.C1000 Cup on Wednesday night.
Paul Biala led the way for Propel with a game-high of 22 points.
Alvin Goh finished with 18 points, where he had it going early with 10 of them coming in the opening frame.
Tan Ye Wei had good output with 16 to his name in the triumph.
On the other side, Arvin Castro was the only player with double digit scoring for Linktech with 12 points.
Propel had carried a 66-59 lead heading into the fourth quarter at the BBA Court in Batu Bersurat.
They turned their man-to-man defence into fastbreak points.
Linktech failed to keep up and couldn't get their shots to fall.
They simply didn't have enough in their tank to see Propel run away with the victory.
