THE Brunei wushu team were the biggest winners of the 1st Brunei International Wushu Championships.
The hosts concluded the May 2 - 5 event with a haul of 29 gold, 13 silver and 13 bronze medals at Youth Centre in the Capital.
The Australia Wushu Team were second best in the eight-team standings with 13 gold, four silver and six bronze.
Malaysia's Wushu Sports Academy followed in third after amassing nine gold, nine silver and two bronze.
Thirteen Dynasties Competitive Wushu Association (Hong Kong), Ding Feng Wushu Academy (Malaysia), North Sumatra Wushu (Indonesia), Wenzhou China Team and Wushu Acech (Indonesia) were the other teams that contested in the three-day event.
The competition is the second regional event that the Brunei Wushu Federation organiser after the 10th Asian Youth Championship in 2019.
