THE Executive Committee of Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (FABD) on Thursday announced that the Association has decided to suspend Pengiran Haji Matusin bin Pengiran Haji Matasan from performing his duty as President with immediate effect.
The Executive Committee further announced the termination of service of Awang Mohammad Shahnon bin Mohd Salleh as the General Secretary of FABD effective 15th November 2023.
The Executive Committee made the move in accordance to Article 17 on Suspension in the FABD’s Constitution that “The Congress is responsible for suspending a member. The Executive Committee may, however, suspend a Member that seriously violates its obligation as a Member with immediate effect. The suspension approved by the Executive Committee shall last until the next Congress, unless the Executive Committee has lifted it in the meantime…”
Meanwhile, the FABD also announced that the FABD election and Congress which are scheduled for Saturday are postponed until further notice.
