REIGNING champions Propel bowed out of the Low San Basketball Tournament after falling 65-62 against Anta Brunei in Group D on Sunday.
Anta had two players in double figures in the victory at the BBA Court in Batu Bersurat.
Phang Seng Fu, who was part of the Propel winning side last year, produced a game-high of 19 points to lead Anta.
Ben Sim was the other with 10 to his name.
On the other side, Ting Heng Lee topscored for Propel with 13 points.
The duo of Darren Chai and Brendan Lim added 10 points apiece in the defeat.
Anta had trailed most of the game and faced a 45-41 deficit going into the decisive quarter.
They turned things around and went in front for good after a three-point play by Yap Chun Ping to make it 52-50 with 3:14 left on the clock.
Lim Teck Cheng then stepped up and came up huge for Anta late on.
The forward converted a three-point play and followed that up with another basket to help his side pull ahead by seven points with over a minute to play.
Propel were forced to foul to stop the clock but Anta converted from the line to ensure they finish runners-up in their group.
