BRUNEI were awarded a joint-bronze medal in the women's team kata event at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China on Friday.
The trio of Farhah Syahirah Mohd Shamrin, Rodhayatul Adwanna Bakar and Farhana Najeeh Abdul Rahman tallied 38.8 points at the LSC Gymnasium KTE Tatami.
But it was not enough as Malaysia defeated them by 0.6 points to see them take the joint-bronze with Cambodia in the four-team event.
Vietnam went on finish at the top of the podium after beating Malaysia 42.70 - 39.00 in the final.
Earlier in the day, Muhd Harith Dahlan lost 3-1 against John Christian Lachica of the Philippines in the men's kumite -60kg event.
That concludes Brunei's participation at the Games and it is their best showing with a haul of one silver and one bronze medals.
