WAN SING opened their Group B campaign in the Low San Basketball Tournament with a 70-65 victory over Cara Mudah on Monday night.
Joven Dungog Tarrosa came up huge for Wan Sing with a game-high of 28 points.
Eric Palanca notched 11 while Venilson Lico was the other in double figures with 10 in the win.
Jake Chong led the way for Cara Mudah with 17 points while Devon Lim contributed 14 to a losing cause.
Cara Mudah stuck their noses in front 55-54 going into the decisive frame at the BBA Court in Batu Bersurat.
Tarrosa proved to be the difference with nine points in the final period including seven straight late on.
The first game of the night saw Nuctech beat Patriots 71-59.
Welfred Phang was the topscorer of the match with 19 points to his name for Nuctech.Vincent Tie added 12 in the triumph.
On the other side, Lim Yih Luan had 11 points to pace Patriots.
Jomarie chipped in 10 in a losing effort.
A total of 15 teams are vying for top honours in the men's open category.
The other teams in Group A are TK Teahouse and Medlink Solution while HL Jaya and Syifak Sdn Bhd Traveller complete Group B.
