THE Brazilian Football Academy (BFA) for the first time will be sending an under-10 football team to compete outside of Brunei.
A total of 12 kids will fly the flag for BFA when they contest at the LaLiga Youth Tournament from September 15-17 in Malaysia.
This was confirmed BFA head coach Edu during a press conference at Peak Club Gallery in Berakas on Sunday.
"We are ready for the tournament. We have been practising hard for the last two months," said captain Muhd Zafar Amalee Hj Md Rahimin.
"The coaches have been putting in a lot of effort and hard work to make us ready.
"We are truly grateful and we will give our 100% with our coach's guidance," he added.
In attendance as the guest of honour was the FABD technical director Paul Munster.
He highlighted that football at this age is not about winning but for the experiences learnt.
A total of 12 teams separated into two groups will vie for top honours in the U10 category to be held at the FootballHub @ Skyarena in Genting Highlands.
BFA are in group A with Junior Fam B, Bu Fourians FC, Arayat FC, Perdaya United FC and Assumption United FC.
The tournament is set to welcome a total of 80 teams across all age groups (U8 - U16).
