BASMA Lachkar added another medal to her cabinet after taking second place in the women's taijijian event at the World University Games.
She tallied a total of 9.680 points to home silver at the Chengbei Gymnasium in Chengdu, China.
Chen Xiaoli of China won the gold with 9.746 points while Japan's Shoji Rise claimed the bronze with 9.660 points.
Basma was pleased with her showing and credited her coaches.
"I'm grateful for the results," said Basma in an interview with BruSports News.
"I believe this competition is a great opportunity to gain experience as well as a good preparation for upcoming tournaments," she added.
"We would like to say a big thank you to our coaches Li Hui and Zhao (Chunjie), who have been supportive and giving us the chance to participate. We are truly grateful," concluded Basma.
