EASYWAY are set for a titanic clash when they take on Propel in their YOU.C1000 Cup semi-final encounter on Wednesday.

Jake Chong, Easyway's topscorer with 23 points per game, knows what they are in for.

"Propel are a great team and we never underestimate any team in the competition," said Chong in an interview with BruSports News on Tuesday.

"Because every team has the same reason and that is to win," he added.

Chong didn't pick out any key players as he believes the reigning Low San Cup champions are well-rounded.

"We will have to watch out for each and every one of their players," said Chong.

"But at the end of the day, we are going to play our game and listen to what our coach says," continued the 24-year-old, who is the oldest on the team.

When asked on what he expects from his side, Chong said: "I hope to see all of us remain in the same condition since the first match and stay hungry for the win."

Meanwhile, Propel captain Kenny Lim highlighted the strengths of their opponents and knows what needs to be done.

"They are young, talented and the upcoming bunch of Brunei national team players," said Lim.

"They are quick in transition but we will be ready for them.

"We have almost the same team from last year (that won the Low San Cup) and they will be wary against us as well," he added.

"So we know what it takes and we have a strong and determined group of players.

"Credits to our coach (Han Ming Kwang) as we just have to execute the plans set out for us," concluded Lim.

Easyway have shown that they are the fittest team in the annual tournament with their run-and-gun style of play.

They also have been deadly from range with an average of 12 three-pointers per game.

On the other hand, Propel will be counting on their backcourt trio of Alvin Goh, Darren Chai and Tung Yee Keong to power them.

The game is scheduled to tip off at the BBA Court in Batu Bersurat at 8.30pm.
