SGTB stunned TK Teahouse 62-58 to advance to the semi-finals of the YOU.C1000 Cup on Sunday.
Despite missing Elvin Requintin for the encounter, TK led most of the way and carried a 49-45 advantage going into the final frame.
SGTB made five straight turnovers but TK failed to capitalise - making only two baskets to open up a six-point advantage.
The turn came as Aries Castro, who subbed in after Hansel Enopia fouled out, to score five straight points.
SGTB then grabbed the lead at 56-55 after an Allen Salvador layup midway through the stanza.
TK got back in front after a Kon Yee Hung layup the next minute.
Arvin Castro made his attempt in the paint the next play before Kon split his freethrows to see the game tied with 1:21 left on the clock.
The freethrow was TK's only made attempt after missing seven straight prior in the quarter.
SGTB took the lead for good after Salvador fed Gerald Balaota to score from under the basket.
Both teams came up empty handed in the next two possessions.
However, a turnover by Aristeo Fullado with 14 seconds to play proved costly.
Alsaid Jauhali was immediately fouled sending him to the line where he sank both to make it a two-possession game.
Aries then stole the ball off Fullado the next play to send SGTB into the last-four.
SGTB had four players in double figures with the pair of Salvador and Balaota leading the way with 12 points apiece.
Joel Comeros and Jauhali added 11 and 10 respectively in the victory.
On the other hand, Gary Antonio topscored for TK with 11 points.
Fullado and Jonathan Doles each dropped 10 points in the defeat.
