ALVIN Goh and Tung Yee Keong combined for 52 points to steer Propel to an 80-73 win over Wan Sing in Group B of the YOU.C1000 Cup on Monday.
Goh finished with a game-high of 27 points, most importantly 18 of them coming in the fourth period, in a tightly contested match at the BBA Court in Batu Bersurat.
Both teams were neck-and-neck throughout the first three frames.
Propel stuck their noses in front 50-49 going into the decisive frame before Goh took over.
On the other side, Cleverson Baguioro topscored for Wan Sing with 20 points.
Eric Palanca was the other in double figures with 17 to a losing cause.
The other match saw D'Barkadz pick up their second win in Group C after defeating Sawaddee House 75-67.
Jomarie Corpuz topscored for D'Barkadz with 20 points while Ernesto Espique added 14 in the victory.
On the other hand, Phuoh Wee Kit led Sawaddee with 15 points.
Adrian Azaharani and Welfred Phang chipped in 13 and 11 respectively in the loss.
