IT'S back to drawing board for national basketball coach Ben Sim.
Brunei came out of the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup Qualifiers without a win but with new gained experience in Singapore.
The team of Lim Liang Wei, Jake Chong, Jayden Chen and Devon Lim started their Group D campaign with a 21-7 loss at the hands of Iran on March 29.
They followed that with a 22-7 defeat at the hands of Hong Kong before ending the group dropping 21-6 against Malaysia the next day.
Sim knows what needs working and hopes this experience will help take them up a notch.
"Overall, it was a tough showing in Singapore, but I am hopeful for the future of the team," said Sim in an interview with BruSports News.
"We need to continue to work hard and stay focused on our goals in order to improve.
"With dedication and hard work, I believe we can be successful," he added.
The Sultanate were clearly undersized compared to their opponents, who were also more well rounded.
"We need to work on our physicality, as we were clearly undersized in all the games, which was a disadvantage for us," said the 37-year-old.
"We need to focus on improving our team's physicality and conditioning in order to be competitive," he added.
When asked on what's next, Sim replied: "Moving forward, we need to improve our team's collective understanding of the game and our ability to execute under pressure.
"This can be achieved through further, continuous participation in overseas tournaments in order to level up our players," he concluded.
Lim was the topscorer for Brunei with half of the team's total of 20 points through three games.
