VANESSA Pang came through in the clutch to lift BNS to the women's title of the Aldric Construction Tutong 3x3 Challenge on Sunday.
Pang, who was names the MVP, scored her side's last five points in the final to lift BNS to an 11-9 win over Tuffa.
BNS had led 4-1 before Tuffa came storming back at the Tutong Chung Hwa Basketball Court.
Good combination between Rachael Lee and Hei Yien saw them score four straight points.
A three-pointer by Wardah Hj Mer'aj saw the game deadlocked at 6-6 with three minutes left to play.
Lee then scored a layup the next possession.
The turn then came when Pang connected on a long range three that took a bounce and into the net with 1:40 on the clock.
Tuffa got one back but Pang hit another trey - this time from the corner.
Lee responded with yet another layup before Pang scored a close range effort.
BNS then rode the time out to see them win their second straight title.
"I believed in the team as I saw the rest hustling. I saw an opening and just decided to take it," said Pang in an interview with BruSports News after the win.
"The ball got in my hands and just had the confidence to shoot the ball," she added.
The Masters claimed the bronze after dispatching She Hoops in the third-place playoff.
YUNI-KU clinch U-23 title
YUNI-KU stormed to the U-23 crown after defeating T Town 21-14 in the title decider.
They raced out to a 8-0 lead in the opening three minutes of the match and never looked back.
The team made up of Jonathan Lim, Brendan Lim, William Ching and Kon Yee Hung were aggressive in cutting to the hoop and getting it done inside the paint.
T Town only got their first basket on the 6:35 mark courtesy of a basket by Edwin Oei.
He did get two more baskets and the game got within reach after back-to-back threes by T Town to make it 15-10 with just over two minutes left.
Yuni-ku, who were a more experienced side, took things slow and ran the clock enroute to victory.
Kon was named the MVP and believes there is more to come.
"Personally I feel there is a lot of room for improvement that can be done," said Kon.
"I'm looking forward to more tournaments in the near future and hopefully I can get better," he added.
Hana Boyz grabbed third spot after edging their B team 19-18.
