FIFTEEN-year-old John Medina dropped 26 points to lift TK Tea House into the semi-finals of the YOU.C1000 Cup after a 76-65 victory over Pegasus on Monday night.

They will face Yi's Nation, who scraped through 85-74 against Concepts Xtrike-Me, in the semi-finals on Wednesday at 8.30pm.

Medina got off to a hot start as he attacked on the break for 12 points to help TK open up a 22-15 lead going into the second frame.

Pegasus were held without a field goal for the first six minutes of the second quarter as TK extended their lead to as large as 18 points.

The former relied too much on their outside shooting and couldn't get anything to fall.

In contrast, Medina hit three from behind the arc in the quarter including one that put TK up 40-20.

Pegasus then switched to man-to-man defence that ignited a 7-0 run and eventually trimmed the deficit to 42-28 at the break.

It looked like Pegasus had it figured out in the third as they drove aggressively to the rack and got it to Eric Palanca to score.

A comeback was on the cards when they got to within 48-41 midway through the period.

TK took a quick timeout and turned the tides to outscore their opponents 13-4.

Pegasus were toothless on attack as they ran out of steam resulting in no basket for five minutes in the fourth period.

A three-pointer by Elvin Requintin midway through was the exclamation point as TK once again led by 20 points enroute to victory.

Requintin eventually finished with 13 points for TK while Joey Dela Pena chipped in 10.

On the other hand, Palanca was the only player in double figures for Pegasus with 20 points.
