EASYWAY recorded the largest ever win margin in the history of the YOU.C1000 Cup with a 156-35 blowout victory over Fayze on Monday night.
They (playing under the banner of Soon Lee-Easyway) notched the previous record back in April 2010 where they thrashed Ford 162-42 in the group stage.
It was a game for the favourites to run their plays ahead of the knockout rounds at the BBA court in Batu Bersurat.
They opened up a 26-5 lead with over four minutes left in the first quarter before unloading their bench.
It was evident they would hit the century mark after extending their lead to 85-22 at halftime.
They hit the milestone courtesy of a fastbreak layup by Muhd Zainul Ashyraf Hj Hussin at the 7:15 mark in the third quarter.
The Group B winners then limited their opponents to only a single basket in the final frame enroute to the biggest win in the annual competition.
Easyway had eight of their 11 players available hit double figures. Jake Chong was the topscorer with 24 points while Zainul added 19.
The duo of Decorey Jones and Chris Chiew added 17 while the pair of Andy Sim and Ong Jian An poured in 15.
The other two in double digit scoring were Devon Lim and Khoo Chin Kai with 12 points apiece.
