THE SEA Games football team (national under-22 football team) made easy work of DPMM FC U-19 with a 6-0 win in a friendly game last night.
DPMM FC forward Adi Said opened the scoring in the eighth minute before Nazif Safwan added a second in the 21st minute at the NFABD Artifcial Turf in Berakas.
Adi then got his second of the game five minutes later to see the SEA Games team take a 3-0 lead into halftime.
Brunei captain and Leicester City player Faiq Jefri Bolkiah, who only checked in to complete the 20-player squad yesterday, got his name on the scoresheet two minutes after the interval.
Adi bagged his hat-trick in the 53rd minute before Muhammad Hanif Farhan Azman completed the rout 13 minutes later.
In attendance to catch the friendly game was the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Yang Berhormat Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Hj Abidin.
The national U-22 team will continue their preparations with a friendly match against reigning DST Super League champions MS ABDB tomorrow.
Brunei will begin their SEA Games campaign against Vietnam on November 26 before facing defending champions Thailand two days later.
The Sultanate will then take on Laos on December 1 before a meeting against Indonesia two days later.
They will then complete the group stage against Singapore on December 5.
