FZ-JURAMAS powered their way into the final of the YOU.C1000 Cup with a 96-78 victory over TK Tea House last night.
They will battle Easyway, who edged defending champions YTE 97-92 in overtime in the other last-four match, in the title decider on Wednesday.
Alvin Goh topscored for FZ-Juramas with 24 points - with 16 of them coming in the third quarter - in the win at the BBA court in Batu Bersurat.
The pair of Yap Chun Ping and Wu Chun also got in double figures with 11 and 10 points respectively.
On the other side, Aries Castro produced a game-high of 26 points to lead TK.
Roldan Binas added 11 points while Michael Ong poured in 10 to a losing cause.
TK only had six players to start the game and were overwhelmed early on to allow FZ-Juramas to jump out to a 10-point lead.
The rest of the cavalry arrived in the second period and they managed to cut the deficit to 31-29 after four minutes into the frame.
FZ-Juramas substituted back in their starting five to put order back into the game.
However, TK used their good shooting to stay within distance and after a pair of freethrows by Darrel dela Cruz saw them only down 46-41 at halftime.
FZ-Juramas started out the third period with a 9-0 run with just over two minutes elapsed.
They were going with the quick outlet passes to score on the break and the lead ballooned to as large as 22 points.
It didn’t look like there was much TK could do as they simply had no answer resulting in their second defeat in the competition.
