FZ-JURAMAS cruised to their second straight win in Group A of the YOU.C1000 Cup with a 109-72 victory over Moldex Realty tonight.
Kevin Tay had the hot hands for FZ-Juramas as he finished with a game-high of 29 points including seven three-pointers.
Alvin Goh also had a good showing with 21 points while the duo of Yap Chun Ping and Tan Kah Boon added 12 each in the victory at the BBA court in Batu Bersurat.
On the other side, J Gisalan topscored for Moldex Realty with 22 points while the pair of Vincent Superio and Alsaid Jauhali contributed 13 each in a losing effort.
FZ-Juramas came out with guns blazing and jumped out to a quick 17-2 lead midway through the opening period.
Moldex finally settled down then and scored back-to-back three-point plays to start a 10-0 run to close the gap to five points.
With a deep roster, FZ-Juramas made all five changes with three minutes left in the quarter and stayed in front 29-18 going into the second period.
They were simply superior compared to their opponents and were moving the ball around to find the open man.
They got it done at both ends and the lead ballooned to 44-25 midway through the second quarter after a trey by Han Ming Kwang.
Moldex simply had no answer to the offensive prowess of FZ-Juramas as the latter led 60-33 at halftime.
There was more one-way traffic after the break as FZ-Juramas led by over 30 points and broke the century mark with over three minutes left to play romping to a comfortable win.
Meanwhile, the second game saw Easyway eased past Bengkurong Brotherhood 116-68 for their second Group B win in as many nights.
The competition continues tomorrow night with Systematic Living taking on TK Tea House in Group B at 7.15pm.
Yuniku will battle Setia Builders in Group A in the second game at 9pm.
