FASTER Than Snails edged TeamOneStar to emerge champions of the mixed team category of the Brunei Run X3 - the first run its kind in Brunei which combines three types of terrain: trail, beach and road - this morning.
The Team of Lucy Scott, Tony Innes and Mark Campbell crossed the line on 1:07:44 to beat Hj Saifullah Hj Ramli, Muhammad Anta Fadila and Siti Fatimah Mohammad by just 17 seconds to finish top of the podium at the Berakas Forest Reserve.
# LunT @ u comprising of Ah Hoon, Christina Padan and Faizal Tongsing placed third in the relay event, which saw each member run a type of terrain to complete a 15km course, with their time of 1:11:05.
Meanwhile, Hj Jupli Hj Pangis clocked the fastest time overall with 1:05:10 to win the male individual category.
Zainor Sam Md Zain came in a close second 1min 40s behind while Leon Berry completed the top-three on 1:07:35.
Over in the female individual category, Kathryn Deuerlein was the first to cross the line clocking a time of 1:20:41.
Ame Ord placed second on 1:27:39 followed by Elle Sabtu in third position with a time of 1:31:26.
The winners of each category walked away with cash prize of $300 followed by $200 for the runners-up. Third place finishers bagged themselves $100.
Organised by Gator Sports, its Managing Director Danny Chua presented the prizes to the winners.
