TEN golfers will fly the flag for Brunei at April’s Butra HeidelbergCement (BHC) presents Brunei Championships 2019.
The Asian Development Tour (ADT) event, which made its debut on the calendar last year, has an increased purse of US$75,000 and will be held at the Empire Hotel & Country Club in Jerdong
The quartet of pros - Yang Amat Mulia Pg Muda Abdul Hakeem, Pg S Hassanal Al-Haj PPN Pg Hj Omar, Faiz Damit and Pg Wirahadikusuma Pg Hj Mohd Salleh – will spearhead the Sultanate at the April 24-27 event.
They will be joined by Md Qawim Fakhri Aslimon, Md Qazzri Fakhri Hj Aslimon, Ak Muhd Syakir Hj Ali, Lai Suan Loong, Zulhilmi HJ Rosli and Aritz Hj Majid.
Pg Wira was the best performer for Brunei last year after making the cut
Kiradech Aphibarnrat, the current world No 40, claimed the title last year and is expected to return to defend his title.
The BHC presents Brunei Championships 2019 will be the sixth competition out of the 14 confirmed events so far on the ADT calendar.
