DPMM FC are looking to bounce back against the mighty Albirex Niigata FC (S) in the Singapore Premier League (SPL) tonight.

The Brunei side are coming off a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Home United FC last Saturday at the Bishan Stadium in Singapore.

It will be no easy task as Albirex are a perfect 10 out of 10 to start the season for a maximum of 30 points while DPMM FC trail by 19 points with three games in hand.

In addition, the Jurong East Stadium has been an unbreakable fortress as the two-time defending champions are currently on a 31-game winning streak on the grounds.

However, DPMM FC captain Shahrazen Said is unfazed and felt that they are ready for the encounter.

“Preparations looked good and we are ready to face Albirex tomorrow night (tonight),” said Shahrazen in an interview with BruSports News yesterday.

“My expectations are only to play together as a team, help each other and be hardworking through out.

“So anything is possible for us including getting three points from the Jurong East Stadium,” he added.

This is the second meeting between the two sides this season with Albirex winning 2-0 in the first encounter on April 14 after DPMM FC conceded two goals inside the opening four minutes.

Shahrazen assured that they are much better side now and hopes that they can carry out the gameplan.

“We have improved from conceding early goals. So we have to keep our focus for the first 45 minutes and try to score first,” said the striker.

“But there is nothing to worry about having to face Albirex should we play according to gameplan that the coach has taught us,” concluded the 32-year-old.
