OUTGOING DPMM FC forward Rafael Ramazotti signed off in the perfect way possible last night.
The Brazilian bagged a hat-trick in a 5-1 victory over FC Goa in a friendly match at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas to end his three-year stint with the Brunei side.
Coincidentally, he had started his career with DPMM FC with a hat-trick as well - a 3-1 win over Harimau Muda in the S.League on March 1, 2015.
The 29-year-old will return home to Brazil on Monday before taking the next step in his career.
Ramazotti, who won the S.League topscorer awards back-to-back in 2015 and 2016, gave thanks to the people who helped him during his time here.
“I would like to thank everyone especially the players and coach (Steve) Kean,” said Ramazotti in an interview with BruSports News today.
“They supported me a lot during the three seasons and helped me to be a better player, better professional and better person.
“And of course I would like to say thanks to the true fans as well because without the fans, football becomes hard. They are the ones that can give extra motivation when we need it,” he concluded.
Ramazotti scored a total of 55 goals in 71 appearances in the S.League over three seasons.
He topped the goalscoring charts in the competition with 21 and 20 goals in 2015, when DPMM FC won their maiden title, and 2016 respectively.
Having been hampered by injury this season, he still ends as the club’s topscorer in the S.League with 14 to his name in 20 appearances.
