LAI Suan Loong was Brunei’s best golfer in the men’s individual event at the 29th SEA Games after finishing 22nd in a field of 40 golfers at The Mines Resort and Golf Club in Serdang.
He carded a three-day total of 12-over 225 (74, 75 and 76) and was 22 shots off the winner Kosuke Hamamoto of Thailand.
Md Qazzri Fakhri Hj Aslimon was 30th on 20-over 233 (75, 81 and 77) while his brother Md Qawim was four positions back on 24-over 236 (79, 77 and 80).
Ak Muhd Syakir Pg Hj Ali was another shot and position behind with his score of 237 (81,78 and 78).
