LITTLE Wonder Enterprise picked up their third straight win in Group A of the GRÂND Veteran Basketball Tournament with a 114-76 victory over the short-handed Concepts/3B3G last night.

Lim Boon Teck put up a game-high of 47 points on the board including 15 treys.

Chen Yiok Seng contributed 21 points while the duo of Liu Kun Shyong and Lim Kok Shien chipped in 12 points each in the triumph at the BBA court in Batu Bersurat.

On the other hand, Edgar Macarimban topscored for Concepts/3B3G with 24 points while George Castaneda added 22 points in a losing effort.

Concepts/3B3G contested the encounter with only six available players but it didn’t deter them from playing a fast game and attacking the basket aggressively.

Little Wonder couldn’t pull away by more than two possessions as they opened up a 26-22 lead going into the second period.

Things took a turn for the worse for Concepts/3B3G when Jameel Mabato picked up two quick technical fouls just two minutes into the second frame.

Little Wonder managed to extend their lead to double figures but Concepts/3B3G stayed close as they faced a 50-43 deficit at halftime.

Little Wonder went with a box-one defence to slow down Macarimban. It worked well for them and three straight treys by Boon Teck towards the end of the frame saw the advantage balloon to 74-55 heading into the final stanza.

It was game over early in the fourth period after one of the Concepts/3B3G players went down with a cramp leaving them to play with only four on the floor and allowing Boon Teck to put up a shooting clinic.
