MS ABDB (Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council) picked up their second straight victory in the DST Super League with a 2-0 win over Jerudong FC last night.
The result brings the two-time defending champions up to second place with six points while Kota Ranger FC lead the 11-team standings on a better goal difference.
Wijaya FC are third with the same number of points but have played a game more.
After a goalless first half, Sld Abdul Azizi Ali Rahman broke the deadlock in the 59th minute before Sld Razimie Ramlli added another eight minutes later to secure all three points for the armymen at the Tutong Sports Complex.
The earlier game saw Lun Bawang notch their first win of the season after beating Najip I-Team 3-1 at the Batu Apoi Sports Complex in Temburong.
Petrus Jumat scored the opener for Lun Bawang in the third minute but it was cancelled out by Norfariz Sayang 11 minutes later.
Lun Bawang regained the lead in the 23rd minute before Yunus Lupat added another in the second half in the triumph.
The tournament resumes on Friday night with Indera SC taking on Jerudong FC at the Balapan Track and Field of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas.
The other game pits Wijaya FC against Kasuka FC at the Berakas Sports Complex.
