DPMM FC are in unfamiliar territory having kicked off their S.League campaign with back-to-back losses.

It is the first time in four seasons under Steve Kean that the Brunei side dropped their first two matches.

The 2015 S.League champions started off with a 3-1 loss to Home United FC at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas on March 3.

They followed that with a 2-0 defeat at the hands of defending champions Albirex Niigata FC (S) at the Jurong East Stadium six days later.

DPMM FC might fall behind by double figures in the nine-team table before kick off against Hougang United FC on April 2 should leaders Albirex, who are on nine points and have played a game more, defeat or draw against the Protectors the day before.

DPMM FC skipper Rosmin Hj Md Kamis is unfazed by the slow start and believes they can turn things around.

"Actually the team is doing great but we are not really there yet," said Rosmin in an interview with BruSports after training at the Jerudong Mini Stadium yesterday.

"What we need to improve is to be more ruthless in front of goal and be more stubborn in defence.

"We don't care about the other teams. The important thing is that we get the first win against Hougang," added the DPMM FC captain

"If we can win, it will be a good momentum for the team. I'm sure we can go on a winning streak after that," continued Rosmin, who retired from international football after the AFC Solidarity Cup in Kuching in November.

The standard of training is at a high level and team confidence is looking good at the camp.

Things are positive and Rosmin felt that is exactly what is needed.

"(The team’s competitive games are) good for team spirit. I don't think the coach will change (the lineup) a lot but we will see against Hougang," said the 35-year-old.

"The confidence is still there. Like what I said we just need to be more ruthless in front of goal and be stubborn in defence. That's it,” he concluded.
