BYD Alpha and Mum Bakery were crowned champions of the Times Square Under-18 3x3 Basketball Tournament after winning their respective categories at the Times Square Shopping Centre in Berakas yesterday.
BYD Alpha claimed the boy’s category after defeating Chino Lions 12-7 in the final while over in the girl’s category, Mum Bakery beat SSBN Bake Culture 13-7 in the title decider.
Both teams went undefeated throughout the three-day tournament co-organised by Times Square Shopping Centre, Shooting Stars Brunei and Fitness Zone.
Adrian Azaharaini from Chino Lions and Ho Shing Shing of Mum Bakery bagged the MVP awards in their respective categories.
BYD Cash Me Outside beat Fun Lions 12-8 to finish third in the boy's category while Ace edged Ragons 8-6 to win bronze in the girl's category.
Present to award the prizes to the winners was the chairman of the Brunei Basketball Association (BBA), Kwang Ming Heng.
Also present was the general manager of the Times Square Shopping Centre, Amal Majidah Hj Suhaili.
The champions of both categories walked away with medals, cash prizes and gifts vouchers.
