TEMBURONG notched their third victory in the 5.11 National Day Challenge Trophy after an 89-52 victory over Belait B – Seria last night.
Both teams were tied 33-33 at halftime before Temburong’s Marcus Lim caught fire from behind the arc at the Brunei Basketball Association (BBA) court in Batu Bersurat.
Lim nailed a total of 10 treys for a game-high of 32 points – all coming in the second half.
The trio of Mark See, Liew Tau Fu and Han Yei Siew also hit double figures with 10 points each to their name in the triumph.
On the other hand, Chua Zheng Hong was the only player in double figures for Belait B –Seria with 14 points in a losing effort.
Meanwhile, Belait A – KB edged Brunei Muara A 79-78 in the second game.
The six-team round-robin competition continues today with Brunei Muara A up against Tutong at 7.30pm.
The second match pits Brunei Muara A against Belait B – KB at 9pm
